Two years ago, my wonderful husband gave me a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens for Christmas. Canon makes wonderful lenses and I had asked specifically for a prime lens. However, as the proud owner of a couple of L-series lenses (for all the non-photographers, that’s the “good glass”), I hardly ever use anything else. Needless to say, the lens has sat quietly in my camera bag for all these months, only coming out once or twice. I decided to pull the lens out yesterday and was really quite impressed with the quality. Think I will be using this one more often!
